The Gallery
The Gallery is an ongoing tattoo project built on collaboration, trust, and lived experience.
After completing my first large tattoo project — a sleeve made up of dozens of small, personal pieces created across different cities and styles — I wanted to approach the next journey with more intention, while still honoring spontaneity and instinct.
The Gallery is arranged in a honeycomb pattern, with each cell filled by a different artist. Every artist, whether a longtime friend or a complete stranger, is invited to choose their own spot and fill it with whatever they want. There is no imposed theme, no required subject matter, and no stylistic limitation.
Each piece stands on its own, but together they form a larger body of work shaped by many hands, voices, and perspectives.
The pattern itself was created by Little Johnny in the Central Valley of California, where I currently live, whose work laid the foundation for the project and set its tone. From there, the Gallery continues to grow organically as new artists contribute their vision.
The project continued in my old hometown of El Paso with Eric Melendez and Sara Estrella, and is expanding across cities, states, and communities I visit. As it grows, The Gallery becomes both a living archive of artistic collaboration and a physical map of relationships, places, and moments in time.
