The Tattoo Photo Project: Wearing Stories, Documenting Stories
This project began with my own ink — every piece a bookmark in my life: a tribute to family, culture, magic, reporting, and my general chaos goblin tendencies.
This photo journal holds a special meaning for me because it honors two shops where I’ve spent hours with about six different artists, each one brave enough to bring my half-baked ideas to life. They made my stories visible, one line at a time.
I’m still adding to this page. There are at least ten more artists who’ve blessed me with their craft and trusted me enough to push the limits of skin and trust. If you’re reading this now, thank you for every moment in the chair, every design on the table, every piece that turned my body into my autobiography.
I wear my stories — now I document everyone else’s. This is a work in progress, just like me.
